Supermarket tip.
Tip: Making a pre-storm supermarket run? Buy fruits and veggies that you can eat out of hand. During a power outtage, raw chicken breasts or whole wheat pizza dough will not help you. But cooked chicken cutlets make an excellent meal when served with crispy raw salad greens. Got a dozen raw eggs in the fridge?
